Harry Thaler is notoriously a man of very few words so if you want to know about him, this book is a good starting point. This small publication celebrates ten years of the pressed chair, from its conception at design school to its industrial production, fragile sustainability, the encounters of friends and allies in a non linear`–never linear`– history.

Dimensions – 12 x 17cm
Cover – Paperback

Harry Thaler is a designer whose work reinterprets fundamental design typologies by combining high quality and traditional craftsmanship with innovative shapes and materials. Trained as a goldsmith, whose background has a strong influence on his design process, he earned his MA in Design Products from the Royal College of Art (2010). In the same year Thaler opened his own studio in London and developed the Pressed Chair, which immediately became very well known. Thaler works with international companies such as Nils Holger Moormann, Pulpo, Davide Groppi, Monocle, Leaos and Olev Light. His field of activity also includes the design of indoor and outdoor spaces as well as projects in the field of architecture. His work has been exhibited internationally and has been awarded with numerous prizes. Harry Thaler now lives in Merano (Italy), where he converted a disused silo tower into his studio. From 2016 to 2019, Thaler was part of the Faculty of Design and Arts at the Free University of Bolzano.
