Lisa Corti was born in Eritrea, Eastern Africa, and grew up in a village immersed in citrus groves and mango fields on the pristine shores of the Anseba river, surrounded by granite mountains on all sides. In the market-stalls of her home-town, she came across Indian fabrics and patterns, and soon developed an instinct for color. It was a trip to India a few years later that brought her back to her childhood memories of colors and textures, and eventually led her to create a very personal line of textiles that combined her African sensibility, her European culture and her understanding of Indian techniques.

Today the Lisa Corti brand is an internationally-acclaimed house of unique and vibrant prints, designing home textiles and ready to wear for women, men and children, with a worldwide network of high-end retailers, and collaborating with luxury hotels, interior designers and event planners on bespoke projects. True to their roots and story, the Lisa Corti collections are still designed with passion in Italy and delicately handmade in India with ancient printing techniques such as block-printing and screen-printing. Recently its collections have been enriched by a new digital technique that allows the company to also explore new materials like linen and create products locally made in Italy.
