All Pãn Pottery pots are handmade by Angus McDiarmid using a traditional wood fire kiln, kick wheel and hand dug local clays. Each pot is completely unique as the clay and fire decide the finish of the pot.
Moon Jar Black Ash 1 is made from hand dug local clay + Australian clay blends. Handmade on a kick wheel by Angus McDiarmid. Wood-fired in a Catenary Arch kiln on the shores of Lake Weyba, Queensland.
This Moon Jar Black Ash 1 uses the Kintsugi method, which is a Japanese technique used to repair broken pottery. Imperfections from firing are mended and filled with powdered gold or silver. This process is significant, making imperfections beautiful while adding to the history of the object.
