Lou Wedding Blanket

The wedding blanket or also known as a Hindira is a delicately made blanket for the purpose of love, it is a symbol of fertility and good luck. Made from sheep's wool, cotton and linen by Berber women in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Northern Morocco. The Berber Wedding blanket are woven before the wedding by the bride’s female relatives, after the wedding ceremony the bride wears the blanket tied around her neck.

As these blankets are antique imperfections can be found, adding to their character & charm.
